Introductory Tour
Dates: 1st Saturdays August-October
Begins at: 10 a.m.
- Cost: $10
- Tour Duration: 2.5 hours
- Participants watch a 15-minute film on the history of Etzanoa and visit three sites, including the confluence of the Arkansas and Walnut rivers, the battlefield, and chief’s lodge. This tour does not consist of a lot of walking; mostly standing. Participants follow the tour guides in their own vehicles to the site locations.
Advanced Tour

Begins at: 11:00 a.m
- Cost: $100
- Tour duration: 6 hours
- Through the Etzanoa Conservancy’s new advanced tours, you can learn how to fly a drone, employ thermal imaging cameras, and wield metal detectors at one of North America’s most ancient sites. Drones provide useful low-level aerial platform for recording views of historic buildings, monuments, archaeological sites and landscapes that were previously too difficult to access. Be a part of archaeological discoveries. This tour consists of a lot of standing and walking while using a metal detector.
